Poor

In dry pocket there’s a mouldy wallet

Reeked cents more than flash trouser legs.

Stretched out his pants in the backseat row, and

Skimped the poor box.

Stretching out his hands (to receive)

The wooden box littered with empty shells and coins

And thoughts and songs.

Brought it home,

With tears, streaming down.
